I absolutely loved reading this book with my children. My 5 year old loved the story and he was able to relate because he’s so shy in social situations. He also really loved that Emery (the main character) plays baseball! My 1.5 year old was also captivated by the colorful illustrations! Love, love, love the concept and affirmations in this book! I would definitely recommend for any age child!

I can’t, I can’t, I CAN! is a wonderful story that I plan on reading to my children constantly.Emery is such a sweet kind girl who’s personality reminds me of my two older children, who often become shy when it comes to trying new things. The author’s affirmations are great and we will incorporate them into our morning routines. The illustrations are wonderful and the book is colorful and full of life, I recommend this book for any and all children as I think anyone can relate to this story.

It’s awesome! So perfect, not just for shy children, but any child confronted with fears, as she hit on in the book. I love how the activities involve the parents to engage with their child and be intentional about helping them deal with their fears/timidity.

This book is the perfect addition to a child’s library! It is so affirming! It reinforces the idea that we must face our fears head on and be open to new things. As an adult, I have struggled with this so to plant this seed in a child’s mind early on is powerful. Highly recommended.
